It is the views of this work therefore that we must go beyond the empirical. Finally, the work states that accepting this kind of empiricism could be a slippery-slope to social ills and decadence. It further argues that dragging empiricism to its logical conclusion as Hume did, could give rise to subjectivism that is anti intellectual and moral authority, the bases of truth and the assertion that ideas can be effectively proven and accepted based on personal beliefs, opinions and desires and not on the bases of the so called accepted rules of logic. In this way therefore, this work is an attempt to show that Subjectivism in a particular context could become a personal and radical extension of empiricism. Empiricism’s extreme form in the history of thought, especially the type found in Hume’s philosophy ended in skepticism, secularism and individualism, which in turn led to subjectivism.
